Edge profile – “Commercial Square” – 243cm to create a sleek cast-in-place countertop. Profile for a robust “Heavy Duty” appearance of the project.
89mm high – instead of the usual 57mm – for a tough appearance. No back wall profile is included.
Make a base of 18mm chipboard, concrete plywood or Wediboard. Use screws and silicone or polymer sealant to secure the board to the base. Then screw the profiles to the board with a 20mm pan head screw. After the concrete has hardened, the profile can be broken off along the breaking line and a nice sleek front edge is created. To save weight and the required amount of concrete, non-load-bearing parts of the top can be filled with XPS foam (Styrodur, Roofmate). Use in combination with a high quality GFRC concrete.
