Edge profile – Right angle – “Square Edge” – and rear wall profile – 228 cm to create a neat cast-in-place countertop.
“Square Edge” has a 57mm (2 ¼”) thick front edge.
Close the kitchen cabinets with a 12.5mm cement fibreboard (for example Knauf Aquapanel or similar). The board must be kept level with the front of the cabinets. Use silicone or polymer sealant to secure the board to the cabinets.
Then screw the profiles onto the cement fibreboard with a 12mm pan head screw. After the concrete has hardened, the profile can be broken off along the breaking line and a nice, neat front edge is created. To save weight and the required amount of concrete, non-load-bearing parts of the top can be filled with XPS foam (Styurodur, Roofmate). Use in combination with a high-quality GFRC concrete.
Supplied with matching back wall profile for a nice, straight and flat result.
